About Us
Going Spare Ltd. is a family run business which started life as a motor factors (spares) in the Woodford area, and first registered as a limited company in 1982.
In 1989 the business moved to Billericay, where it was located at the far end of the British Rail station car park, the unit itself originally being built as part of the 'Serviceman' franchise. With the move, Going Spare changed to an MOT (Class IV) and service garage and we enjoyed many years of success in these premises until the summer of 1999, when due to lease problems we had to move again.
It was in July 2001 that we found our current home - a superb, newly built facility with a large, clean workshop, just the right facilities to enable us to expand our services once again. We now MOT Classes IV and VII, service all makes of vehicle and carry out general mechanical repairs. To provide the first class service that befits our premises, all technicians are fully qualified and attend training courses for updates. Laser track alignment and diagnostic facilities for most makes are other areas we cater for.
Going Spare is a member of the RMI (Retail Motor Industries) and is also a Unipart Car Care Centre. We have access to regularly updated prices, repair times and technical data to help us treat you and your vehicle to the best of our ability, which is second to none.
